Atta Boyd!

This is great. I've been rereading the Constitution recently - a handy pocket version published, ironically enough, by the Boy Scouts of America. Also ironic is that the crucial inch of breathing room between church & state is here being kept wedged open by a pastor. An evangelical pastor. I'd send his church some money if I had any to spare.

  • I've taken two classes on constitutional law (three if you count one that examined only the freedom of speech), and one of the most interesting things to me about the Constitution is how large sections of it have no practical applicability to our government today, and how other sections have just half a sentence protecting an amazing number of rights (or, if you're talking about the Commerce Clause, is enough to instill an unnervingly broad spectrum of powers in the government).
